We care for our flowers and are hands-on throughout the entire process, from seed to centerpiece to ensure you are getting the highest quality blooms. About Mandy
Mandy grew up in South Carolina, where the seasons brought excitement in the form of flowers. Spring meant gathering bouquets of daffodils by bicycle to surprise her mom. Summers at her grandparent’s farm in Winston-Salem were spent tagging along with her paw-paw as he filled the fields with compost. These early years were the seed of what was to come.
In 2007 Mandy’s passion for growing flowers took shape while working for the accomplished flower farmer, Dave Dowling at Farmhouse Flowers. For three years this experience provided an invaluable education in all aspects of the floral industry. Engaging in various growing techniques, creating custom arrangements, working farmers markets, and business management were a part of daily life. The dream of owning a flower farm was inescapable and becoming possible.
All of these experiences come from a young girl wanting to make her mother smile, and today that passion is the heart of soul of Blue Ridge Blooms. Mandy loves spreading the beauty of her flowers within the community, and looks forward to sharing this experience with you.
